The Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre Perth & Kinross are looking for a highly motivated and committed worker with experience of providing therapeutic support to join our team. This post involves the provision of therapeutic support, information and advocacy services survivors age 12+ and their family members. Experience of delivering emotional therapeutic, practical support and advocacy services to women and/or girls affected by trauma is essential, alongside experience of assessing and responding to risk in relation to sexual abuse and exploitation. An ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders is necessary. We require female applicants only and are exempt under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010. Scottish Gov increases funding to Rape Crisis Centres in Scotland during Covid 19 outbreak

RASAC P&K would like to extend our thanks to the Scottish Government @scotgov for the announcement of additional funding for Rape Crisis Centres across Scotland. During this challenging time, RASAC P&K are working hard to make the necessary changes to our service in order to ensure that vital support continues to be provided for survivors living in Perth & Kinross. We are thankful to the Scottish Government for responding to the needs we outlined earlier last week and during this very busy time it has given us the ability to ensure we have the additional resources we need to work remotely, safely and confidentially. Young People’s Therapeutic Support Worker
30 hours per week, £27037 (pro-rata)

The Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre Perth & Kinross are looking for a highly motivated and committed worker with a proven track record of providing therapeutic support to young people affected by trauma. This post, funded by Children in Need until September 2021, involves the provision of therapeutic support, information and advocacy services to young survivors age 12-18. Experience of delivering one to one support and/or counselling is essential alongside experience of assessing and responding to risk in relation to sexual abuse and exploitation. An ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders is necessary.

We require female applicants only and are exempt under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010. Successful applicants subject to enhanced disclosure checks.

The Rape Crisis Helpline will be open every evening from 6pm till midnight (apart from the 25th and 31st Dec 7pm – 11pm)
