As part of the 16 Days of Action to End Violence Against Women we are delighted to be supporting Thursdays In Black. This is a national and international campaign that aims to bring solidarity and awareness to issues relating to all forms of sexual and gender based violence.

we are meeting on Thursday 6th December for 12 noon where there will be a silent vigil. We are keen to invite all members of the public to come and join the vigil.

As the name suggests we encourage those joining us to wear black.

Did you know that we don’t not tell others what you tell us. Confidentiality is crucial when healing from sexual violence. Confidentiality means that we keep what you tell us to ourselves (we don’t tell others including the Police). Confidentiality is really important. It can help you feel safe enough to talk about how you feel and explore the things that have happened to you. We take your confidentiality really seriously and do all we can to keep your information confidential within the team. There are times when we might need to pass on information if we are significantly concerned about your safety or the safety of others. We will always try to talk to you first if that ever happens. Below are the circumstances where we might need to pass on information: 👉If you tell us that a child or a vulnerable adult is at risk of harm 👉If you have taken action to end your life (suicide) If we do need to speak to someone about a concern we have, we will do our best to let you know what is happening at all times. We have decided to change how we do our groups. 🙂 Don't worry all the favorite groups and activities will still be there in the programme, but we will have a more focused approach keeping groups and activities, fresh and fun.
