Trauma Informed Practice Training 2024- 2025

Aimed at frontline staff and managers in the public, private and third sectors across Perth & Kinross.

By the end of the course, participants should:

  • Have better recognition and understanding of the short and long term impacts of trauma
  • Have increased awareness in identifying the immediate needs of trauma affected people
  • Have increased understanding of supporting individuals affected by trauma to safely disclose
  • Be more knowledgeable about the importance of encouraging and/or supporting people’s recovery following trauma and
  •  Have increased awareness of the needs of workers exposed to the details of trauma experienced by others.

  • Thursday 31st October 2024 from 9.30-12.30pm
  • Thursday 7th November 2024 from 9.30-12.30pm
  • Thursday 14th November 2024 from 9.30-12.30pm

This post involves the effective administration of the RASAC P&K Centre and will often be the first point of contact for all enquiries, including referrals from survivors, family members and external agencies.

We are looking for a Therapeutic Support Worker...

Therapeutic Support Worker ?

35 hours per week, £30608

This post is currently funded until March 2025 with continued funding being actively sought.

This post involves the provision of therapeutic support, information and advocacy services for survivors age 12+ and their family members. Experience of delivering emotional therapeutic, practical support and advocacy services to women and/or girls affected by trauma is essential, alongside experience of assessing and responding to risk in relation to sexual abuse and exploitation.

Only women need apply under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 for these posts.

Successful applicants will be subject to PVG.
