Recruiting - Therapeutic Support Worker

Therapeutic Support Worker
35 hours per week, £30608 (Fixed term until March 2024)

Location: Perth
The Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre, Perth & Kinross (RASAC P&K) provide support, information and advocacy services to anyone who identifies as a woman, and young people age 12-18, who have experienced rape or sexual abuse at any time in their lives. The Centre also offers support and information to partners, families and friends of survivors.

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled worker with experience of providing therapeutic support to join our team. This post involves the provision of therapeutic support, information and advocacy services for survivors of sexual violence (in person and remotely via telephone and/or online). Experience of delivering trauma informed services to women and/or girls affected by trauma is required, alongside experience of assessing and responding to risk in relation to sexual abuse and exploitation. A commitment to working within a gendered analysis of Violence Against Women is essential for this role.

Hours:
28 hours per week (4 days to March 2024).
21 hours per week (3 days April 24 – March 2025)

Salary: £32675 (pro-rata)

Do you have the skills and energy to develop and deliver multi-agency training alongside community awareness raising sessions in the prevention of, and responses to, sexual violence?

Are you enthusiastic about recruiting and supporting volunteers? Are you a team player looking for a new challenge? If you are looking to work within an organisation which dedicates itself to the prevention of sexual violence and improving responses to survivors then we want to hear from you.

The Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre Perth & Kinross are looking for a self-motivated, creative and dedicated Community Engagement & Development Worker to join the team. The post holder will be committed to strengthening our capacity through the effective coordination of our volunteer training programme and will recognise the added value that volunteers bring to our sector. A gendered analysis of Violence Against Women is required, and experience of developing and delivering high quality training and successful community engagement with local communities is essential. This post requires someone who has strong organisational and interpersonal skills, is able to develop and sustain positive partnerships and is confident in event planning.

RASAC P&K welcome applications from black and minority ethnic women, LGBT women and women with disabilities.
