We are Celebrating our Volunteers this week!

RASAC would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers. 

Some of you have been with us a long time and we appreciate the work that you do, and the commitment you have given over the years. Some of you are just starting your volunteering journey with us, and again, we thank you for wanting to spend time with us, and taking this opportunity to learn new things, meet new people, and gain new skills.

To all of you, we just want you to know the importance of your work, and how it makes a huge impact whether that’s by having brave conversations, upholding and sharing our values, delivering sessions to young people, or hearing a survivor's voice. Together, we can be the change we want to see. THANK YOU

Did you know that a survivor who has recently been assaulted (within 7 days) can get the forensic evidence collected without reporting to the police. This way survivors can make their own choices in their own time.💜⚖ You might need medical support or more information on what reporting is like, or you might just need some time to make a decision. That is okay, we can support you through this. We understand that the days following a sexual assault can be very difficult and Police reporting may feel overwhelming. SARCS facilitates a forensics examination where evidence is gathered without Police reporting, enabling you to report at a later date if you decide to. You can also be supported with other immediate healthcare needs, such as emergency contraception.
