Survivor's Words, Art and Action
On this page you will find beautiful, inspiring, and challenging words, art and campaigning contributed by survivors who have engaged in support at RASAC P&K, and other survivors who support us. Please be aware that some of the contributions may be hard to read as they can express difficult feelings. If you have something you would like to contribute to, let us know. Lastly a big thank you to everyone who's words, art and campaigning has contributed to this page. You inspire us.
Survivor's mental health and recovery Photography
For all our Newsletter we ask survivors if they would like to contribute a written piece, images, artwork or thoughts. With the theme of movement in our May 2024 newsletter we had one lovely survivor who enjoys walking in nature and taking photos, share her work and what it means to her.
‘Getting out and about in nature, taking photographs helps me feel more in the moment and connected, most of my photographs represent mental health and recovery. In these photographs for example, the sun beams through the trees to represent good days, even though there are still some shadows. The butterfly represents becoming who you are, growth and spreading your wings to new possibilities’.
